Hi everyone!
The bookgroup had another great meeting in May having read Julian Barnes' The Sense of an Ending. The book was mostly enjoyed by all although we felt quite differently about some of the characters!
The next meeting will take place on 12th June at THE HARE AND HOUNDS on Sopwell Lane in St Albans. Please note the new venue to avoid clashing with the poetry night at The Goat! We will be reading Someone Like You By Roald Dahl. Normal time of 7.30.
.
The July meeting will be on the 10th and we will be reading Glasshopper by Isabel Ashdown.
We are always open to new members but would appreciate an email if you are intending to come so we know to expect you.

The June meeting will be on 12th June and we are reading Someone Like You by Roald Dahl. This is one of the books that will be given out on World Book Night (23rd April) so you may be able to get this book free!

Update!
Hello!
The book group met in February to discuss In Pale Battalions by Robert Goddard which people really enjoyed.
The next meeting will take at place at 7:30 in The Goat in St Albans on Tuesday March 13th. We are reading Tiny Sunbirds Far Away by Christie Watson. For our April book we will be reading Looking For Lucy by Liz Frost. Liz is a local author and we are reading her manuscript so she can get our honest feedback! This being the case we want to maximise our turnout for April and obviously meet when Liz is free to join us. So as an exception we will be fixing the day of the April meeting at the March meeting rather than just going for the second Tuesday as normal.
If you would like to join us we are always welcome to new members - although do drop me a quick email so we know to expect you!
Happy reading!
